Fun, Challenging Natural Environment
Remuera Discovery Express offers a fun & positive environment for children to learn, play grow develop & succeed.
Our teaching programme is based on children’s interests and dispositions. Our teachers focus on individual and group learning and work alongside the children to maximise their learning potential. We view children as confident, capable individual learners, and we provide them with a richly resourced environment.

Remuera Discovery Express has 4 rooms which are each led by a fabulous Team Leader.
They are supported by qualified teachers, teachers in training & teacher aides.
We also have a special project room and an indoor gym.

Hello, Kia ora.
My name is Naz . I’m the Head teacher of the Kowhai Room. I have been at Remuera Discovery Express for almost 3 years and I have been an Early childhood teacher for over 10 years now.
Supporting and being part of children's learning journeys and being a witness to their achievements and milestones is a great passion of mine. I enjoy working alongside families and children ensuring the best learning outcomes for all.
I am originally from Zimbabwe, born in a small town called Bulawayo. I moved to New Zealand 20 years ago and I now call it home. I enjoy spending my time with my family and friends as well as being in the great outdoors.
I am looking forward to supporting your family into the transition of childcare and creating a "home away from home" feel for you and your child.

Kia ora!
I was born and raised in Meadowbank Auckland and now live in Stonefields. After finishing school at Baradene College, I studied a Bachelor in Education (Teaching) in Early Childhood Education, which I completed in 2012. I have been teaching at Remuera Discovery Express for four years now (my first year I was in the Kowhai Room and for the last three years I have been Assistant Head Teacher in our Preschool)
As an early childhood teacher, I believe children are competent and capable explorers who have the ability to make their own decisions and take control of their own learning. My role is therefore to support, facilitate and work alongside children in creating opportunities for them to explore their interests and discover what it means to be a true life long learner. This is ultimately achieved by establishing positive relationships with children and their whanau/families.
I am very excited to get to know and work alongside all the children who continue or start their learning journey here in the Kiwi Room.
I am always available to talk to and support parents.
Amandeep Kaur

My name is Amandeep Kaur. I come from India and have been in New Zealand for 11 years. I completed my Bachelor of Teaching from New Zealand Tertiary College in Auckland.
I joined Remuera Discovery Express in 2013 and have thoroughly enjoyed watching our centre grow. I started my teaching career as a student teacher, before gaining my qualification. I am the head teacher of Preschool and Assistant Manager of the centre.
I love providing an environment that is challenging, stimulating and aesthetically pleasing and an environment that encourages our children to become confident and capable explorers. I believe teaching plays a great role in fostering children’s learning and I work alongside each child and support them in a manner that meets their specific learning style. I look forward to meeting you and your Whānau and working in partnership with you to meet the needs of your child. I am happy to be part of your child’s learning journey.
Manju Goyal
My name is Manju Goyal and I am originally from India. I have been living in New Zealand for the last 17 years. I am married and have two children; one is 9 and the other is 13 years old.
I currently hold two degrees; one is a Bachelor of Arts from India and the other is in Early Childhood Education from New Zealand. I became an early childhood teacher because I am passionate about working with young children and believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a warm, safe, healthy, nurturing and stimulating environment to foster their learning and development. My personal philosophy for teaching and learning values is founded on the importance of respect, relationships and joy.
I love working here at Remuera Discovery Express and I am very excited to meet you and your child.

My name is Mythili Saththianathan. I am a mother of two fabulous grown up children & I now have my first Grandchild. My vision for Remuera Discovery Express is that it is a centre where children are happy, engaged, content and confident.
I have been in Early Childhood Education for 33 years. My teaching experience has been in Zambia, South Africa and New Zealand. I am passionate about early childhood and providing a warm and loving environment for our children and one in which fosters learning for each child at their level. I believe that teaching is a vocation and I feel young and happy when I am with children. I enjoy listening to their laughter and embracing their cultures. As the Centre Manager I am responsible for the day to day running of the centre. I love working alongside my teaching team and continuing to support them to grow and develop our amazing children.

My name is Anna and I am one of the owners of Remuera Discovery Express. I have two wonderful, boisterous sons, who both now go to school.
After working together with Mythili for 12 years we decided that we had the same dream in developing a quality, spacious centre that provides a warm, welcoming environment where children can explore and develop a love of learning.
We believe we have achieved this at this centre and we will work hard to ensure positive outcomes for all children. My role within the centre is the financial management, setting and reviewing budgets, operational policy development and implementation that guides the centres practices, resource allocation and property management.
I believe in quality care and education for all children and work hard to ensure we achieve this at Remuera Discovery Express.
NZ Owners
Remuera Discovery Express is owned and operated by Jegaratnam & Mythili Saththianathan & Anna Jones. Mythili is a qualified and experienced primary & ECE Teacher and runs the centre on a daily basis. Anna has a Masters in Clinical Psychology and is passionate about providing quality early childhood education for all children. She has a background in finance, HR and administration & ECE Management. Together we work hard to offer an amazing environment for children to develop a love of learning.
